MEET ADAM
HELLO!
My name is Adam Schneider, I am a sustainability advocate, climate champion, and community organizer, and I am running to be one of your next at-large members of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.
When I was growing up, I was a child who liked to ask "Why?" I was always focused on what could be instead of what is and how we could get from one to the other. This drove me to get active in political organizing in high school and study political science and environmental studies in college. Shortly after college, I got a job in Minneapolis promoting climate resiliency, and since then I have been working to support renewable energy and urban agriculture across the city.
I first fell in love with Minneapolis in high school when I picked up my partner for what would be our first date. I was enchanted by the Chain of Lakes and energized by the buzz of Uptown, and I knew this was where I wanted to put down my roots.
I am running because I believe the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board can be a vehicle to advance climate and environmental justice. By working with the community, our park system can be an integral part of an equitable, resilient, and vibrant Minneapolis.
This is a grassroots campaign focused on serving the people of Minneapolis. We hope to earn your support throughout our campaign. If you have any comments, questions, concerns, etc., please feel free to reach out to us by email or social media.
